14 Aug Capital Solstice Pop Up Dinner Soiree
After conquering the New York market, Capital Solstice is made its debut in the Nation’s Capital on Friday, August 5, 2016. Known for transforming a bland space into a jaw dropping black tie gala, Capital Solstice WOWed DC’s elite society! Using their platform to make a difference, they have partnered with Becky’s Fund, a domestic violence prevention foundation serving the Metropolitan area.
The location of this highly anticipated experience was only revealed to ticket holders 48 hours before the event which ended up being Echo Stage. Guests then got to partake in a succulent 9 COURSE MEAL prepared with food from local vendors which includes area farmer’s markets, distilleries, and wineries. The menu was prepared by Executive Chef Timothy Thompson. Chef Thompson is dedicated to the growth and expansion of food service establishments and builds his business on that model.
Other highlights of the evening included:
· Host Guy Lambert, entertainment correspondent and CBS radio morning show personality
· A fashion presentation by International designer Korto Momolu, 1st winner-up on Project Runway
· Music by renowned disc jockeys, DJ Scheme alongside Radio One morning show host DJ Quicksilva
The Capital Solstice Summer Soiree was powered by Timothy Thompson Concepts: private chef and banquets service. Their goal is to make a difference in the community they serve by providing rewarding dining experiences that work with local food vendors, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds are always donated to a selected charity partner to further the impact on the community.
